Energy Sparks

Every Â鶹´«Ã½É«Ç鯬 school is registered with ENERGY SPARKS, actively engaging with activities and actions, registering their points and having a great impact on the levels of energy consumed in their individual settings.

Initiatives:

  • GET ENERGISED gets pupils and staff thinking about how much energy is used, especially when no one else is in school.
    • GREEN DOTS on all electrical appliances encourages all appliances to be switched off when not in use and RED DOTS clearly show which appliances must be left switched on!
  • BEAT YOUR BASELOAD helps schools understand how much electricity is needed to provide power to appliances that keep running at all times, and challenges each setting to reduce its baseload per pupil by way of a competitive Â鶹´«Ã½É«Ç鯬 schools' league!
